Create a program customized to fit your goals with an associate degree in general technology.

The Associate of Applied Science general technology enables you to design an individualized program of study to fulfill career goals that cannot be met by any single degree program. You will work closely with an advisor to select courses from multiple technical disciplines and develop a program related to your career objectives.

Other general education disciplines covered in this program include English composition, mathematics, social sciences, and communications.

A degree in general technology brings with it valuable analytical thinking, research, and writing skills that are applicable in a variety of careers. Depending on your individualized plan, career options can include:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology
The Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology is a completer degree for students who have completed the Associate of Applied Science in electronics technology; have completed 45 hours toward the degree; or have permission from the dean of the College of Business and Industry.

Journeyman Completion
This 38-hour program includes 24 hours fulfilled by the approved completion of the Journeyman's Certificate from the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, a division of the U.S. Department of Labor. These credit hours will be granted at the completion of all other A.A.S. degree requirements. The 14 remaining hours can be from the following course prefixes: ATDI, AUTO, CGT, DIES, ELEC, GIPM, LEGL, OMT, WELD, WFL, or other technical areas approved by the college.
